Each Paradive is individually CNC machined from a solid block of 316L stainless steel.

The workhorse ETA 2836-2 is finely finished in Rhodium and features Geneva stripes and superior Incabloc shock protection. The movement is suspended inside the case body providing better performance and security.

Each Paradive is individually verified to its rated 300 meter water resistance and to withstand a vacuum of 0.50 ATM. The crown is manufactured to exceed the 300 m rating when secured in the closed position and to provide 30 meters water resistance in the open position.

The HRV essentially pressure proofs the watch against the thin air of high altitudes and the special helium gas mixture used by saturation divers.

The Paradive is our interpretation of the watch issued to US Special Forces and CIA maritime units from the 1960s up to the early 1980s. Never sold commercially, the historical watch was specifically developed and manufactured for the US military. Following an in-depth study of the fundamentals of the reference design and the watch’s military specifications we set ourselves the goal of upgrading its specifications and updating the design. By applying modern manufacturing techniques and materials we have increased the serviceability and durability of the watch. We paired these qualities with a new stouter and bolder case that highlights the Paradive’s superior quality and capabilities.

The technical improvements include:

  • Replacing the original bi-directional bezel with the modern safety feature of the uni-directional bezel for diving, ensuring that one would always under-estimate the oxygen remaining.
  • Introducing a helium release valve (“HRV”) to the design, enabling the watch to serve salvage diver and combat diver alike. The HRV essentially pressure proofs the watch against the thin air of high altitudes and the special helium gas mixture used by saturation divers.
  • A higher grade movement, the ETA 2836-2, with the option for a non-date, date only, or day/date display
  • A more durable crown and case tube design.
  • Upgrading the original acrylic crystal to an anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal
  • Combining the ergonomic comfort of the monocoque case with the tried and tested three part configuration, substantially improving serviceability.
  • The 12-hr GMT bezel insert features enamel paint filled engraved numbers that will remain legible under extreme wear and will not fade like anodized indexes. The triangle at 12 o’clock is filled in with a waterproof SuperLumiNova BGW9 marker. The aluminum inlay is made of a proprietary alloy that is hard anodized (Type III) to impart superior wear resistance. This is the same type of coating used on the aluminum parts of the M-16 rifle.

Bill,

I just wanted to drop a line and let you know the PARADIVE is on its second tour in Afghanistan. It is holding up like a champ no issues,

I will see if there are any picture opportunities and get a couple sent back to you. It continues to get consistent comments and questions.

Once again thanks

Regards

Dave

hi,

received the paradive and i can’t tell you how pleased i am. it went with me to 25000 ft unpressurized the day after i received and passed with

flying colors. i had the original marathon (stockard and yale) navigator (lost it) and i had always told myself that it was the perfect watch if it

had a day and date function. well yours does and then some. i’m so pleased it was worth the wait and again i just wanted to say thanx to bill and

the gang for everything. keep up the good work!
