Project 300

Project “300″ is our latest project and our second collaboration with online collectors. This watch will be a limited edition of 300 pieces paying homage to the “Omega Seamaster 300″¹.

The pre-order will be offered in one stage and this project will be forumer sponsored. (Please note that timetable is currently under revision – we will be trying out a visual time line.)

Validation of interest: January – March 2011. We will need to reach 150 confirmed pre-orders to proceed to the next phase.

Design phase: Currently active (Oct. 28, 2011)

Delivery: Estimate is pending revision upon completion of design phase (Disclaimer: This time frame is only an estimate and will be updated as required. Please take note that given the complexity of this watch delays are a strong possibility.)

Please note that the images at the top of the page are for reference purposes only and are not the actual watch. We will be designing the watch based on the reference images. The watch pictured above is a military Seamaster 300 that I owned quite a few years ago. The watch stands alone as the only watch that I collected that I actually made a profit on when I sold it. Not surprisingly I sold the watch because I could never get comfortable wearing such a valuable and fragile piece. Since I am not one for collecting watches for the sake of collecting them I sold it on to a collector that has given it a good home.

In order to increase the transparency of this project over that of the Kingston we will be posting all of the project updates, pictures, drawings, and changes that are decided by the Plank-owners here on this page. Links to official threads for the project will be listed below. This should relieve participants of the need to hunt for the latest updates on the forum and to reduce the confusion about the status of the project and its current iteration.
